After clerking for two summers, during law school, in Phoenix, Arizona at the law firm of Gallagher & Kennedy, he joined the firm as an associate attorney and became a Shareholder in 1996. Over the next 24+ years, Don practiced law at Gallagher & Kennedy primarily in the areas of product liability defense, bad faith/coverage insurance law, and general commercial litigation. In the product-liability arena, he has represented manufacturers of off-road motorized vehicles, motorcycles, watercraft, construction equipment, building products and other goods and products in a wide variety of product-liability matters. He also gained extensive experience handling complex general commercial and insurance bad faith/coverage litigation. Over the years, Don’s pragmatic and professional style has earned him significant client loyalty and consistently successful results.
Don has a Preeminent-Peer-Review rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation and Insurance Law during 2013-2015.
Over the past few years, Don has appeared, written, and spoken on constitutional issues. He is the radio co-host on Liberty Storm with Shane Krauser, a talk show focused on constitutional issues facing the United States. The Liberty Storm program previously has aired on The PATRIOT (960 AM), KFNX—INDEPENDENT TALK (1100 AM).
Prior to receiving his law degree, Don was a real estate broker in Santa Fe, New Mexico and, before that, a farrier and blacksmith on racetracks (thoroughbred and quarter horse) in the western United States and a rodeo cowboy.
